Senior Manager – Corporate IT Services                     

For our client, Topsoe, IT Optimiser is now looking for a highly experienced Senior Manager to lead the team of Corporate IT Services.  In this position, you will experience flexibility and trust placed in you to lead Topsoe in a successful journey to support the future corporate SAP roadmap and daily operations.

Topsoe is a manufacturing company and the global leader in energy-efficient technologies to produce clean transportation fuels as well as ammonia, methanol and hydrogen that are universally seen as the most important fuels and chemicals of the future.

Topsoe was founded in 1940 and has always maintained the headquarter in Denmark. For more than 80 years, Topsoe has produced catalysts to speed up productions and today Topsoe delivers a wide range of catalysts and process technology that is essential for producing clean fuels from crude oil and waste, removing harmful emissions from power plants, and raising the efficiency of industrial processes. Topsoe’s catalysts are used in the production of 50% of the world’s fertilizers, helping the agriculture industry meet the global demand for food.

When it comes to IT and digital transformation, Topsoe is also at the forefront. Topsoe went live on S/4HANA as a “lift and shift” in November 2019. Since then, they have revisited and reimplemented many processes aiming for SAP standard processes and in 2024 they performed S/4HANA upgrade from SAP 2021 FPS01 to SAP 2023 FPS01. They are constantly streamlining end-to-end processes to obtain an IT landscape that supports digitalization, automation, growth and transparency. They are now looking for a colleague who will join them on this journey and become a key player in their continued path to success.

The team and role

The Senior Manager of Corporate IT Services will join the department of Corporate Applications, which consists of 25 dedicated colleagues located in Denmark and India. Corporate Applications is part of Global IT with approx. 180 employees located around the globe. Corporate Applications delivers solutions and services based on SAP and Salesforce supporting broadly the entire Topsoe business. Corporate Applications is split into two teams: Corporate IT Services and Global Supply IT Services. Corporate IT Services supports Topsoe’s Commercial, Finance, and HR business units, whereas Global Supply IT Services supports Topsoe’s production facilities across the supply chain value stream.

As Senior Manager you will lead the activities for Corporate IT Services, which means you hold the responsibility for supporting the SAP & Salesforce roadmap for Topsoe Corporate functions, as well as you lead the daily SAP & Salesforce operations within same area. This role requires not only technical expertise but also strong leadership and people management skills. You will be reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Applications.

Some travel abroad is expected.

Your primary tasks will include but not limited to:

Lead and manage a diverse team of IT professionals, including onshore (Denmark) and offshore (India) team members.

Develop and implement strategies for team development while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, ensuring team members are motivated and aligned with the company’s goals

Oversee daily operations related to SAP and Salesforce, ensuring its reliability, performance, and alignment with business processes.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and balance demand and supply for solution delivery.

Act as the primary point of contact between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between IT services and business objectives.

Collaborate with project managers, Application Managers and Solution Specialists to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.

Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring they deliver high-quality services.

Contribute to strategic IT decisions, driving innovation and ensuring the IT function supports broader business objectives.

Qualifications

Topsoe is looking for a candidate who hold a Master or Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.

Mandatory skills:

People Leadership – Demonstrated successful leadership of both onsite and offshore teams

Stakeholder Management – Strong communication skills (both in writing and presentation skills), as well as strong interpersonal skills.

SAP Finance background – We are looking for a colleague who is deeply grounded in Finance and has previously participated in designing the SAP roadmap and ideally possess concrete SAP Finance implementation experience
