Near horizon tasks:
Define and customize AAKs template for SAP® Warehouse Management for packed finished goods. Then roll out this template to AAKs plants in UK, NL, China, Brazil and India.
AAKs warehouses are not identical physically. Typically, each country has 1 WM storage location each having between 1000 - 20000 pallet places. Typically, there are between 3-10 persons working in each warehouse.
Pallets with packed finished goods are received from a process order. In connection with production they print a pallet label with an ID (storage unit number). The inbound strategy is fairly simple.
Normally AAK sell full pallets containing just one material and one batch – but in the biggest warehouse (UK), they have a situation where they have to do a bit of pick/pack before sending to customers. In some situations, they change pallets or make customer specific labels in connection with shipping to customers.
