For our client, Topsoe, IT Optimiser is looking for an experienced SAP Application Manager with a broad understanding of the SAP Supply Chain portfolio. In this position, you will be responsible for IT run and maintain activities supporting procurement and logistics business requests. Therefore, your core area of expertise should be SAP MM.

When it comes to technology Topsoe is also at the forefront. Topsoe went live on S/4HANA as a “lift and shift” in November 2019. Since then, they have revisited and reimplemented many processes aiming for SAP standard processes and in 2022 they upgraded to S/4HANA 2021. They are constantly streamlining end-to-end processes to obtain an IT landscape that supports digitalization, automation, growth and transparency. They are now looking for a new team member who will join them on this journey.
The team and role
The new SAP Application Manager will join the department Corporate Applications and a team of 25 dedicated colleagues who are located in Denmark and India. The team is part of Global IT with approx. 100 employees located around the globe. The Corporate Applications team delivers solutions and services based on SAP S/4HANA 2021 and Salesforce. Furthermore, they develop and maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems for their production plants.
In the capacity of SAP Application Manager your core responsibilities will be SAP MM. Utilized functionalities include Purchasing, Material Master and Inventory Management. Topsoe is utilizing Ariba on Order-To-Procure. Areas of responsibility will include doing enhancements and maintenance, Order-to-pay and IT approval with integration to SAP including logistics invoicing. A new Warehouse Management solution is to be implemented, why any experience within SAP WM/eWM will be an advantage.
In addition, the Application Manager hold the responsibility for supply chain and will be driving activities to develop road maps together with business and IT colleagues to define the best solution, prioritize activities and planning for execution, including driving execution. As Application Manager, you will be a key person in ensuring that processes in all areas of the landscape are tied nicely together and that Topsoe is utilizing SAP standard best practice processes. It is important, that the you feel comfortable challenging existing business processes, managing business stakeholder relationships and priorities.
Qualifications
Topsoe is looking for a candidate who holds a master or bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. You must have a solid background within SAP MM. It will be considered an advantage to have added knowledge on SRM/Ariba, WM/eWM, SD, LE, Fiori apps and S/4 HANA.
